Silencer Central, America’s largest silencer retailer, is proud to announce the return of the free tax stamp promotion in honor of America’s 249th anniversary! Now through July 31, 2025, you can use the promo code “STAMP” to get a free tax stamp on the purchase of any qualifying silencer sale.
“We’re excited to celebrate 249 years of American history and freedom,” said Logan Hutchinson, Silencer Central Director of Marketing. “You should be free to protect your hearing and free to elevate your shooting experience without burdensome taxes. So, to celebrate America's birthday, we're not throwing anything in the Boston Harbor, but Silencer Central is going to cover the cost of the tax stamp for you."
The list of more than 50 qualifying silencers includes many of the top brands available at Silencer Central. Below you will find the complete list of the suppressors offered through this sale.
BANISH suppressors
BANISH Suppressors are the among the best-selling silencers on the market today. Included in the Tax Stamp Sale are the hot new BANISH 9, BANISH 30-V2, and BANISH 9K.
Wilson Combat is well-known for extreme quality and innovation. These silencers are ideal to pair with a Wilson Combat firearm, but work with all others, too.
Every customer who purchases a qualifying suppressor during this promotion will also receive a free, limited-edition patch, while supplies last. The patch will only be available during this promotion period.
The Tax Stamp is part of the National Firearms Act, enacted in 1934 as a way to regulate the firearms industry. The main goal was to limit access to machine guns to organized crime, but suppressors were added, something we hope is reversed. The Tax Stamp sets a fee and adds regulations and approvals to the purchasing process as a way to keep items on the NFA list from reaching the hands of criminals. Any item on the NFA Tax Stamp list requires the stamp for ownership.
The fee set in 1934 is $200. At that time it was considered a major barrier from purchase, but the amount hasn't ever gone up.
Picking the best silencer for you depends upon your use. If you're into hunting as your primary use, you will want to shop for hunting suppressors. If you do mostly target shooting, there are suppressors that work well for sport and target shooting. if you are in law enforcement, the military, or prefer to do similar types of shooting exercises, you will be interested in tactical suppressors.
Yes, you currently have to have a Tax Stamp for every suppressor you own. That is what makes a sale like this important, as it cuts the overall cost of buying suppressors, especially multiple suppressors, as you don't have to pay the Tax Stamp fee on qualifying cans.
You likely should carry your Tax Stamp with you when you are afield with your suppressor. It saves hassles if you are asked for it.
