2026 is starting off strong. The Federal Stamp is now free and it seems that every company is jumping onto the suppressor bandwagon - and we love it! There are more new guns coming out that are suppressor ready than ever before. And along with them, there is some amazing new ammunition options, optics, and suppressors, too. Here are a few more that caught my eye!
I dropped a suppressor suggestion with the new firearm, plus an optic and in some cases, an ammo suggestion, too. There is so much new stuff coming, it is hard to keep up with it all!
Smith & Wesson M&P FPC in 5.7x28
Inspired by Smith & Wesson's M&P handgun line, M&P FPC models all share familiar features. This new folding carbine design incorporates an M&P 5.7 pistol grip and flat-face trigger, and is also compatible with the same 5.7x28mm magazines. It operates on a semi-auto blowback design and includes an integrated recoil buffer system to mitigate recoil impact for improved control during firing.
The M&P FPC 5.7 has a 16.25-inch barrel with a ½ x 28 threaded muzzle to accommodate suppressors and an overall length of 30 ⅜ inches. When folded, it achieves a compact length of 16 ⅜ inches for easy storage, and its horizontal folding mechanism construction serves as a locking latch to ensure secure transport. While I think the 10mm may be more popular, the one I will likely order is the 5.7. A suppressed 5.7 is a sweet gun.
Suppressor suggestion
Since many of the rimfire cans can work well with the 5.7x28, I'd likely run a Dead Air Mask 22. I'd also toss on a Vortex Spitfire HD Gen II red dot sight. This would make a lightweight, compact package that would be fun to shoot.
The FN SCAR is back for 2026. The original was a great rifle platform, so when it was discontinued, it made us scratch our heads a bit. That's because FN was redesigning it and getting ready for a full relaunch. The 2026 SCAR models are gas-operated, semi-auto, modular rifles for the world’s most demanding shooters. FN came up with over 25 innovative upgrades for the U.S. market—including a hydraulically buffered bolt carrier for reduced felt recoil. It comes in 5.56, 7.62 and 6.5 Creedmoor. The pistol version is also available in .300BLK.
Suppressor Suggestion
For the 5.56 model, you can't go wrong with a BANISH 556. I'd also drop an also new for 2026 EOTech HWS EXPS3 HD sight on it, since budget would obviously not be an issue, but that's just me.
Weatherby dropped a couple new models at SHOT. One we liked a lot is the 307 Alpine. The Alpine MDT is built on Weatherby’s newest bolt action rifle platform, the Model 307. Weatherby teamed up with MDT to produce an ultra-light chassis rifle that can own the range and dominate in the field. The carbon fiber chassis features a foldable buttstock and when collapsed cuts out over 9 inches of total length making it a great compact option. It only comes in 7mm Backcountry, and Remington just launches a bunch of new factory 7mm Backcountry loads that give shooters more options. And yes, they are a little easier on the wallet, too.
Suppressor Suggestion
I can't not suggest the suppressor that gave the ammo its name. You just about have to go with the BANISH Backcountry can here. It was the only suppressor used in the development of the cartridge.
Savage came out swinging at SHOT Show with an all-new 110 line. They have options including carbon barrels and tactical models, but for hunting, the Core Hunter Pro caught our eye. Built as a versatile core bolt action hunting rifle, the 110 Core Hunter Pro pairs modern ergonomics with rugged performance: a Savage exclusive camo stock with AccuFit V2, showcasing toolless LOP and comb adjustments plus interchangeable grip modules and M-Lok® panels lets you tailor fit and accessory layout on the fly, while a Gun Metal Bronze Cerakoted barreled action and Blackout Cerakoted bolt body with a threaded bolt handle provide corrosion resistance and silky operation.
The user-adjustable AccuTrigger delivers predictable, tunable breaks; 16.5–24″ Gun Metal Bronze Cerakoted carbon steel barrels in a heavy sporter contour with spiral fluting keep weight forward for steady tracking yet remain size-flexible by caliber. A threaded muzzle, one-piece 20 MOA rail for optics, and AICS magazine make the rifle ready for any setup, and the option of many calibers in left-hand configuration ensures equal performance for southpaw shooters. There are a lot of caliber options, but I have to admit that I'd really like to try one out in 7mm PRC.
Suppressor Suggestion
It'd be hard to not want to pair the Savage rifle to an Accu-Can AC30BOB. These are some sweet .30 caliber cans, too. I'd also look at mount a 3-15x50 Leupold VX-5HD scope.
While many suppressors can be used on several different caliber firearms, we have some specific models that can make your shooting more enjoyable. Pick the caliber that you have in mind. If you don’t see your caliber, pick one close to it to see our recommendations.
