We don’t have to go out on a limb to say that 2026 will be the year of the suppressor. With the “tax” part of the Federal Stamp going away, more people are jumping onboard with the benefits of shooting suppressed, and that means manufacturers are bringing products to the consumer that help with that. Pistols are in a unique spot. Unlike a rifle that has a barrel that can be easily threaded, a pistol either needs to come with a threaded barrel from the manufacturer or have one added. There are already some sweet new pistols hitting the market with threaded barrels ready for a suppressor.
Smith & Wesson M&P 22X
Shooting a .22LR pistol is both fun and cost-effective. Our friends at Smith & Wesson have some of the nicest on the market, and the latest one is sure to be a hit. The M&P 22X is a full-size, slim-grip framed pistol with a 20+1 magazine capacity. It was designed for low recoil and a crisp, hammer-fired trigger.
The M&P 22X is optics-ready with a Hiviz LiteWave H3 fiber optic front sight. What we find really interesting is that it comes with a 1/2x28 suppressor thread adapter along with a wrench to change it out, which is a really cool twist. It gives you all kinds of options. Other features include a 4.1 in. barrel with a 1:15 in twist. It has a picatinny rail and an ambidextrous thumb safety. It comes with two 20-round magazines. This is a fun, and exciting new rimfire pistol.
Suppressor Suggestion: Off Grid Scorpius 22
Off Grid's Scorpius is an all-titanium rimfire suppressor engineered for short-barrel semi-auto pistols, like the 22X. The Scorpius delivers ultra-low first-round pop and ear-safe suppression down to the mid-70s dB—making it one of the quietest .22 suppressors available, something that was proven at the TBAC Sound Summit. Built entirely from lightweight 3D-printed titanium and weighing just 1.95 oz, the Scorpius combines rugged durability with ghost-level stealth in a compact form factor.
Beretta unveiled the 80X Cheetah Tactical in .32 ACP as a modern evolution of the legendary Cheetah platform, with enhancements available by Langdon Tactical Technology (LTT) and available exclusively through LTT.
Chambered in .32 ACP, the 80X Cheetah capitalizes on the caliber's compact size and low recoil for excellent control, faster follow-up shots, and enhanced shootability. Purpose-built for concealed carry and suppressor use, the 80X Cheetah Tactical features a 1/2x28 threaded black barrel. It has a Vertec-style grip profile, easier-to-rack slide, and finely tuned recoil management. It also has the X-treme S double/single-action trigger with skeletonized hammer, an optics-ready slide with interchangeable sights, three-dot white sights, a frame-mounted safety, and a Picatinny rail for accessories. The 80X ships with two 12-round magazines.

The FN Rush 9Ti is a highly versatile and reliable 9mm suppressor, delivering an unmatched shooting experience. With the advanced booster assembly, mounting the FN Rush 9Ti to any pistol barrel threaded 1/2x28 is fast and repeatable. A tight piston gas seal contains carbon fouling in the baffle core, making for a smooth shooting experience without the heavy blowback and stoppages common with most suppressors.
Rost Martin released its striker-fired RM1F Tactical 9mm pistol. The Tactical model comes with a 24-round magazine for increased capacity, a threaded barrel, and suppressor-height sights for enhanced sight alignment with optics or attachments. Fully ambidextrous controls, Responsive Grip Texture, and modular backstraps give you a comfortable, secure fit and optimal handling for any shooter. It is a stout pistol with a 5-pound trigger pull.
Suppressor suggestion: BANISH 9
The BANISH 9 is 7.16 inches long and weighs 8.57 ounces with the Micro Booster installed. The Micro Booster is unique in that it keeps the pistol platform running without issue, regardless of ammo choice. That is very light for a full-size pistol suppressor. Remove the Micro Booster, and it cuts the length to 6.8 inches and the weight to 6.73 ounces. The BANISH 9 has a diameter of 1.35 inches.
While not the newest release, Ruger rather quietly released a threaded barrel version of their RXM pistol that they co-designed with Magpul. It uses a serialized stainless steel fire control insert that can be removed and set into interchangeable Magpul enhanced grips. It also is compatible with Glock accessories and magazines. The threaded version has a 1/2x28 thread pitch and a slide cut for optics along with co-witness sights. These are really nice-shooting pistols with all the attention to detail you'd expect from Ruger.
