New Products from SHOT Show 2026 – Day One

SHOT Show is here for 2026 and you know what that means - even more new stuff is coming out that will make many of us decide what new gear we just have to have in the coming weeks and months. I am not immune to this desire, and my wife always tells me to hand over my credit card after I start sorting through the press releases for new products. Here are some of the latest new, suppressor-ready firearms, as well as a few new products that are too cool to not want to talk about.

Henry Repeating Arms Protector Series

I have always been a HUGE fan of Henry lever guns and I'm not the only one! This year they have a couple new model lines, including the Protector Series. Protector Carbines are lighter, more compact, and built to live unobtrusively close at hand. With shorter 16.5 in. barrels and threaded muzzles for use with a suppressor, these carbines emphasize maneuverability, comfort, and everyday capability.

Protector Carbine calibers include:

• H9 Protector Carbine in .30-30 Win and .360 Buckhammer

• H10 Protector Carbine in .45-70 Gov't

• H12 Protector Carbine in .357 Magnum/.38 Spl and .44 Magnum/.44 Spl

Suppressor suggestion

My personal pick would be H9 in .360 Buckhammer with a Rugged Alaskan360Ti suppressor. The can is short, light and all business, just like the Henry.

Franchi Momentum MULE

The perfect truck gun, the MULE will be available in .308 Win and .223 Rem. It features a suppressor-ready 16.25-inch threaded barrel. Franchi's proven Evolved Ergonom-X stock is finished in VEIL TAC Black Camo and is paired with an attractive, durable Graphite Black Cerakote on all metal components keeping this rifle tough, understated, and ready for anything the day or night may bring.

Suppressor Suggestion

I'm liking the .308 model. I'd add a Dead Air Sandman X, since it is a short, effective suppressor. I'd add a scope, like the Hawke Optics ENDURANCE 30 FD 1.7-10x44.

Stoeger STR-45 Combat

I am a HUGE fan of the Stoeger STR line of pistols. These are about as budget-friendly as a quality pistol can get and they feel great and shoot even better. No joke - the first STR-9 I got to test came to my FFL and he ordered several on the spot to have in stock, and he sold them as fast as they came in, too.

Built on the same proven ergonomics and performance-driven design as its predecessors, the STR-45 Combat features a high-traction grip and undercut trigger guard that deliver a secure hold, optimal hand placement, and enhanced control for fast, repeatable follow-up shots. Interchangeable small, medium, and large backstraps allow shooters to dial in the fit for their hand size. The combat model comes with 16+1 magazine capacity and you get three mags! That's a lot of .45ACP fun to be had.

Suppressor Suggestion

I'd add one of Riton's new 3 Tactix MPRD XL red dot sights. I'd a Rugged Obsidian45 suppressor, too. It's a quality can and modular, so I can run it short or long depending upon what I need.

H&K V9A1 K Tactical

Heckler & Koch USA is excited to announce yet another expansion of the growing VP9 A1 pistol line. The six new "Tactical" models come with threaded barrels, suppressor-height sights and all the A1 updates of the VP9 A1 launched in 2025. If you've never shot an H&K, you're missing out. These are some sweet pistols that work!

The new models include: VP9 A1 "K" Kompact – optics-ready, VP9 A1 "K" – optics-equipped with Vortex CCW enclosed emitter, VP9 A1 "F" Full size – optics ready, VP9 A1 "F" - optics-equipped with Vortex CCW enclosed emitter, VP9 A1 "X" Crossover – optics-ready and VP9 A1 "X" optics-equipped with Vortex CCW enclosed emitter.

For reference, The "K" model features 4.7-inch threaded barrel and a compact 15-round frame. The "F" model features a 5.2-inch threaded barrel and a full-size 17-round frame. The "X" is a crossover of the two, with the shorter 4.7-inch barrel of the "K" and the full-size 17-round frame of the "F".

Suppressor suggestion

Since I don't have to worry about which optic to mount (and they chose the one I would anyway), I can focus on the suppressor. For this handgun, I'd have to grab the BANISH 9. It'd just be the right fit!
