Silencer Central Celebrates its 20th Anniversary

Silencer Central, America’s leader in silencer sales and innovator of delivered-to-your-door service, is proud to announce it recently celebrated its 20 years of simplifying the suppressor purchasing process. The company held an event at its Sioux Falls, South Dakota, headquarters to mark this special occasion. 

“Gosh, to think of where we started, see what we’ve grown to become, and think about where we are going in the future – it really says a lot about the people that helped us get here,” said Brandon Maddox, Silencer Central CEO and Founder.

“When we started out, it was just me trying to make it easier for people to get a suppressor," Maddox continued. "I was a one-man show, running the company from my basement, and selling silencers at shows. I found more ways to make the silencer buying process easier. The company grew exponentially to meet the growing demand. Silencer Central is poised for even more growth as the buying process gets even easier. The average person less barrier than ever to get the suppressor they want.” 

This timeline represents the growth of Silencer Central over its 20 year history.

Conservation efforts

Silencer Central is the originator of shipped-to-your-door silencer buying. In addition to diligent work on behalf of gun owners, the company has shown an outstanding commitment to conservation efforts. 

“One of the key things I really wanted to do with this company is to support conservation efforts,” Maddox added. “We started a program, donating suppressors to conservation groups that could then raffle or auction them off at their own events. They get to keep 100% of the proceeds, and we handle the paperwork for the winner. This program has raised in excess of $16 million for conservation across the United States. I cannot begin to tell you how proud I am of that fact.” 

Looking ahead

Over the past 20 years, Silencer Central has grown to offer suppressor sales in all 42 states where silencers are legal. They offer a wide range of the top suppressor brands in the industry and are constantly adding more models and brands to meet demand.  

As we head into 2026, the biggest news is the decrease in the Federal Tax Stamp cost, from $200 to $0. What will that do for the industry? Expectations are that it will drive more people to shoot suppressed.

You can also expect to see new products being offered by Silencer Central. As suppressor manufacturers release new models, we intend to have them available on this website as soon as possible. Our team is working with these manufacturers to insure inventory and competitive pricing.
