SILENCER CENTRAL APPROVED FOR REDI FUND LOAN, RELOCATING HEADQUARTERS TO TEA, S.D.

TEA, S.D. – Silencer Central, America’s largest silencer dealer, was approved today for a $3.3 million Revolving Economic Development and Initiative (REDI) Fund loan to start building its new corporate headquarters in Tea, S.D. Located on the future 85th Street Interchange, this new headquarters will combine Silencer Central’s existing operations in Sioux Falls, and warehouse and machine shop in Harrisburg into one state-of-the-art facility.
“South Dakota is open for business, and we’re excited that Silencer Central is expanding its investment in our state,” said Governor Kristi Noem. “South Dakota respects freedom, and our business-friendly environment is second to none. I look forward to seeing companies like Silencer Central thrive.”
“The City of Tea is excited Silencer Central has chosen to relocate their corporate headquarters in the Bakker Landing development. This is a highly visible development along I-29 and several quality businesses have already established themselves in the area. The addition of Silencer Central will add more employment opportunities and encourage other businesses to consider Tea as they decide to expand and grow,” said Mayor John Lawler.
The new headquarters will reside on approximately six acres of land in Bakker Landing. The expanded headquarters will combine the company’s Sioux Falls and Harrisburg operations, and will house corporate executives, sales, compliance and customer service, barrel threading operations, and storage of inventory shipped to 41 other states.
The 85th Street project is a construction zone undergoing heavy development that promises to be the next focal point for Tea and Sioux Falls’ rapid growth. With easy access to I-29 and the metro area, this bustling district of retailers, offices and housing is undoubtedly an excellent location for the new headquarters of Silencer Central.
“We are severely constrained by the lack of space to accommodate the new employees added each week. Our corporate office, barrel threading business, and warehouse will be combined under one roof in our new 30,000 square-foot building,” said Brandon Maddox, the founder of Silencer Central. “Silencer Central is excited about our new facility, we are thankful for a Second Amendment and business-friendly state like South Dakota, to call home.”
